On Sunday afternoon, a tour bus crashed, rolling over in Bedford County, sending twenty-six passengers to hospitals in both Pennsylvania and Maryland. On January 30, a construction crane crashed to the ground, causing thousands of dollars in property damage in Mentor, Ohio. Tragedy struck a small neighborhood just outside of New Castle last evening. A 62-year-old man was walking along the 2500 block of U.S. Route 422/Benjamin Franklin Highway, northwest of New Castle, when he was struck by a vehicle and killed. A 25-year-old mentally challenged man was beaten with an aluminum baseball bat by his grandfather's girlfriend because it was "lighter and easier to swing," according to the suspect.
