- Ohioans want distracted driving rules better enforced

It's been one year since Ohio passed laws against distracted driving and texting-while-driving. Unfortunately, however, authorities are not impressed with the results of their new laws. The Ohio Department of Transportation says that in the last twelve months only sixty people have been ticketed by Ohio State Patrolpersons in northeast Ohio for texting-while-driving. Police are looking for whomever hit and killed a pedestrian, then fled the scene of the accident late Friday evening in Shenango Township, Lawrence County. On Tuesday morning, General Motors doubled the amount of faulty ignition switch recalls that have potentially been the cause of several fatal automobile accidents. There are now as many as 1.6 million cars affected. Two weeks ago, General Motors put out a recall for around 780,000 of Chevy's Cobalt (2005-2007) and Pontiac's G5 (2005-2007).
