In conjunction with the New Castle Branch of the NAACP, we are excited to help raise funds for the revitalization of Bollinger Park. There is a great deal to be done to get the park back to a condition where children can enjoy it. Park improvements will include a new basketball court, repairs and improvements to the pavilion as well as new playground equipment and paint for additional structures. Although a $12,000 grant has been received to help with the cost of the improvements, more funds are still needed. Dallas W. Hartman, PC will match all donations up to a total of $5,000. Sidney McKnight, President of the New Castle NAACP branch stated “the park is in deplorable condition. New Castle is in need of a place where kids can go to be kids. The revitalization and renewal of Bollinger Park will benefit the entire community.” According to Dallas Hartman, “we are excited to work with Sidney and the NAACP to create a safe environment for children to play and to bring families together. We continue to be dedicated to improving the community we have been able to serve for over 30 years.” The clean-up kicks off on Saturday September 24 at 9:00 am and all volunteers are welcome.
