Workers’ Compensation: man burned at Ohio industrial plant

Being hurt on the job can affect you and your family for the rest of your lives. Sustaining serious injuries on the job site can mean the difference between living the lives you've always dreamed of and being forced to just get by under disability as the medical bills and life's surprises loom in the background. If you have been hurt at work through no fault of your own and you think you may have a lawsuit against your employer or a third party, call the Pennsylvania workers' compensation lawyers at Dallas W. Hartman, P.C. today.

In Saegerstown today, a man was burned over more than 45% of his body during a fire at the LORD industries plant. The fire was extinguished fairly fast, but not before the man badly burned.

When paramedics arrived at the scene, they took the man via ambulance to the nearby Meadville Airport. He was then Life-Flighted to the area's closest burn unit.

Officials from the LORD industrial plant told reporters that the cause of the fire will be assessed and explained in a detailed report as soon as possible. Firefighters, however, have confirmed that the fire did indeed begin inside the plant and not on the outskirts, which was first assumed.

If you have been injured by a fire at work, then you will likely be entitled to workers' compensation. Call the workers' compensation attorneys at Dallas W. Hartman, P.C. today for a free consultation and explain the details of your accident. If you are too injured to visit one of our offices, then we will come to you. Call today at 800-777-4081.
