Megabus from Pittsburgh involved in minor accident

Often motor vehicle accidents involve other vehicles. Sometimes however they involve stationary objects. Recently, a Megabus that's trip originated in Pittsburgh, was involved in an accident. The double-decker bus became stuck under a ramp while on its way to what it thought was its destination.

Over the course of the past few years, Megabuses have grown in popularity. Because of their size, they are able to transport big groups of people to cities for a small amount of money. This particular trip, there were apparently 66 passengers. Two of those passengers were reportedly hurt in the accident. Thankfully, though the nature is not known, their injuries were described as minor.

The incident was apparently the bus driver's fault. Rather than going to the actual bus terminal located in Manhattan, it was supposed to stop at another location. The change in stop location is likely at least in part due to size issues illustrated by this crash. It is not clear why the driver went to wrong location.

Anytime a vehicle with the potential to transport a lot of people is involved in an accident, it is possible that the outcome will be devastating. When these situations occur, it is not uncommon for injured individuals to seek compensation for their injuries by filing a personal injury lawsuit. In addition to possibly obtaining money to help pay for medical expenses, these types of lawsuits also often provide those involved with a sense of closure. It is unclear whether the injuries the two passengers who were hurt suffered will lead either of them to follow this course of action.
