Western Pennsylvania rollover accident injures 1, kills another

Car accidents are a common way in which individuals throughout western Pennsylvania are injured. This past weekend one person was hurt when the vehicle in which the man was a passenger was involved in a crash. The crash also claimed the life of the 44-year-old driver. Both men were thrown from the vehicle due to not having their seatbelts on.

The car accident occurred one afternoon in Shenango Township when the minivan driven by the man who died apparently struck a part of another automobile that was travelling on the road at the same time. As a result of clipping the other vehicle, the minivan spun and rolled in a median next to the road. It was then that then men flew out of the minivan.

One common cause of such incidents is a driver who is not paying attention to the road. This could have been caused by a distraction in the vehicle caused by the passenger or a handheld device such as a cellphone. There could be many other reasons for the accident occurring as well. It is not clear what caused the minivan to strike the other vehicle on the road.

Following the incident the injured passenger was transported to an area hospital. His injuries were described as moderate. The nature of the injuries and the recovery time are not known. It is possible that he could have lingering effects as a result of the injuries for years to come. In situations such as this one, the injured individual often finds it helpful to seek financial damages via a personal injury lawsuit.
