ATV accidents often end in death. Recently, we have heard several heartbreaking stories of people, young people especially, who have been killed in ATV and off-road vehicle accidents. If you have been injured in an ATV accident, or you have lost someone close to you due to the negligence of another, call the Pennsylvania wrongful death lawyers at Dallas W. A Washington County boy was killed in an ATV accident late Thursday evening in Amwell Township. The boy, 13-years-old, was riding on the back as a passenger.

Another boy, 16-years-old, was driving. The two of them were ejected off the seat of the Yamaha Wolverine four-wheeler. It went off the road on Shipe Run Road, just south of Chestnut Ridge Road, shortly before midnight. The boys hit a tree stump and the driver lost total control of vehicle. He then ran into several trees before being thrown from the ATV, according to PA State Police.

The 16-year-old driver was Life-Flighted to UPMC Presby in Pittsburgh; however, his condition is not currently known, although police did say that the injuries looked to be severe. The 13-year-old was rushed to Washington Hospital and was pronounced dead shortly after arriving by the Washington County Coroner. The exact cause of death is not yet known.
