Dallas W. Hartman major sponsor of successful “Project: Feed our Valley” campaign

With the holidays in full bloom and in the spirit of giving, Dallas W. Hartman, P.C. decided to lend themselves to the annual "Project: Feed our Valley" program in an effort to help those less fortunate in the winter months.

In addition to its Facebook fan page "Like" campaign for "Cameron's Chance," which is still in full swing and currently has close to a thousand new "Likes," Dallas W. Hartman, P.C. has joined WFMJ, local businesses, and a host of others to collect food and supplies for families in need throughout our valley this year.

"Project: Feed our Valley" has been helping people since 2007 and has collected over $350,000 and more than 400,000 pounds of food for the Second Harvest Food Bank, a local food bank that distributes the donations to families in need.

The food drive was held in the parking lot of Reyer's, the self-proclaimed world's largest shoe store, in Sharon, Pennsylvania. In addition to donating their parking lot this morning, Reyer's also graciously donated $500 to the "Project: Feed our Valley" cause. Two other companies also donated $500. Another world's largest, Daffin's Candies, known for their delicious chocolates and other sweets, was there to help out and made a $500 donation. And the world's largest off-price fashion store, The Winner, also came to lend a hand and make a $500 donation.

In addition to corporate donations, people stopped by throughout the morning to donate food, money, and their time to this great cause. One man and his wife donated $100 and many others donated anywhere between $10 and $50. In addition, there were more than twenty bins of food collected, weighing hundreds of pounds, that food donation officials say will literally help to feed hundreds of families over the next few weeks.

Dallas W. Hartman, P.C. also did their part to help families across the valley this holiday season. The office has been collecting cash, canned goods, and other supplies for the last few weeks and donated what they collected when they showed up to the event early this morning.

On behalf of himself, his family, and the firm, Dallas handed over a check for $5000! This magnanimous donation is yet another reminder of Dallas and his firm's dedication to and love for their community. The next few weeks can be some of the hardest of the year for many families in our area, so please do what you can to help out his winter. A little love goes a long way.

Thank you to everyone who was able to help out this year. Whether it is food, supplies, or cash donations, families who weren't able to have an enjoyable holiday this year, can now have a happy, warmth-filled time with their family, friends, and loved ones.
