Grove City YMCA’s “Program Arena” grand opening to be held Nov. 2

Due in part to a generous donation from Dallas W. Hartman, P.C., the Grove City YMCA will hold their grand opening for their new “Program Arena” on Saturday, November 2nd, at 6 in the evening.

The YMCA’s Program Arena will allow members in the community of all ages to engage in more acitivities and allow them the convenience of participating in programs that used to held simultaneously, that will now be held at different, sometimes multiple, times throughout the day.

The indoor, multi-purpose Program Arena will enable the Grove City YMCA to more broadly serve children, teens, young adults, seniors, and all ages of people with special needs, while significantly increasing revenue to address their mission driven programming.

The new Program Arena will be used for a number a interesting athletic activities such as: indoor roller hockey, floor hockey, soccer, tennis, hockey leagues, special needs activities, and tournaments of all kinds.

The November 2nd celebration is open to anyone in the community who would like to come together in celebration of this joyous occasion. Some the celebration’s activities will include a 6 p.m. ribbon cutting ceremony, a 6:30 p.m. Grove City area celebrity game, and a 7 p.m. Program Arena open play where folks from the community can tour and use the new center as they see fit. Included in the grand new arena is a teen center, equipment store, group exercise studio, expanded parking, and even a classroom to be used for students from Slippery Rock University.
