Billboard Music Awards attendee gets more than she paid for

Many music lovers in Butler County likely tuned in last month to the Billboard Music Awards to watch some of today's most popular singers and musicians perform and receive awards.  Some of the luckiest individuals even scored tickets to the program to watch the program live.

One woman who was up close for the performer Miguel's performance is likely wishing in retrospect that she had taken in the show from the comfort of her own couch. She was injured when Miguel performed a dance move in which his leg apparently hit her head. Following the incident it was reported that the woman was okay and she did not seek treatment at a hospital.

It appears now however that statement may have been premature. Despite the initial appearance that everything was fine, recent reports indicate that the young woman may actually have suffered a brain injury as a result of the failed dance move. She is reportedly dealing with cognitive difficulties. It is believed that she has sought treatment from a neurologist.

Brain injuries are not always immediately obvious. In addition, the length of time it takes to recover from such an injury varies. Some people fully recover in a short amount of time while others suffer from repercussions for years to come. These may take the form of headaches, difficulty organizing thoughts and even changes in personality.

Depending on what the neurologist finds it is possible that a personal injury lawsuit could be filed regarding the matter, by the woman.
