Officer dies in Pennsylvania police chase

Recently, a police officer in Lawrence County passed away after a car chase by ended tragically. A police chase resulted in a cars slamming into his township's cruiser, resulting in the death of the officer. Another person was seriously injured in the incident.

The fatal accident resulted in the death of a man, 60, who passed away on the way to the hospital after the incident.

Prior to the incident, state police were chasing a woman who was reportedly driving erratically with a suspended license. Officers had positioned their patrol car in New Castle to stop the fleeing motorist when the runaway vehicle smashed into it. The injured officer was taken to a local medical center in New Castle for treatment of head injuries.
