Two Injured in Union Township Collision

According to the New Castle News, two people suffered serious injuries in a car accident Saturday evening on State Street in Union Township. A Chrysler LaBaron and Chevy Malibu collided head-on near the Burger King on State Street.

Both men were taken by medical helicopter to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio. The cause of the accident is unknown at this time but Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.

When head-on accidents occur it is usually the fault of the driver who is not in their own lane. However, this is not always the case as other factors could cause that driver to leave their own lane of traffic. Some of these other factors can include other vehicles, debris and unmarked lanes. In those special circumstances there may be other parties responsible for injuries to both drivers.

In all car accident cases it is in the best interest of all parties involved to speak to an experienced personal injury attorney who can investigate the crash and help you get compensation for your injuries.

Many people do not know that in Pennsylvania that your uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage policy will cover you and your passengers in case of injury caused by other drivers. In many cases if a serious injury has occurred the responsible party's insurance coverage is not enough to cover the injured party's injuries, the injured party may turn to his or her own insurance company for compensation. Keep in mind insurance companies do not automatically send you this money or advise you of your rights. In any type of car accident case it is very important to contact and experienced car accident attorney in Pennsylvania to make sure you get the compensation you deserve for your injuries.
