Alcohol likely in fatal Indiana County accident

When a family loses someone close to them to a car accident in Pennsylvania, finding a qualified wrongful death lawyer may be the last thing on their mind. When the accident was caused by a drunk driver, it is especially sad because we know the accident could have been avoided if the driver in questions had not been drinking before he or she got behind the wheel of a vehicle. When a place of business continues to serve people who are already intoxicated, then allows them to leave the premises, there are dram shop laws that are being broken and someone must answer for these mistakes.

Officials believe that alcohol was the main factor in an accident early Saturday morning. Police say that a 27-year-old man from Vintondale, Pennsylvania was heading southward on Shortcut Road, close to Route 422, shortly before 1 a.m. when the vehicle he was driving flipped several times before it finally came to a rest on its roof.

The 27-year-old was pronounced dead at 12:44 a.m. on Saturday by the Indiana County Coroner. Pennsylvania State Police say that he was driving with his fiancé, but it remains unclear as to whom was actually driving the vehicle. The man's fiancé was taken to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center to be treated, but there is still no word on her condition. Police are continuing their investigation and it is not yet known if they have spoken to the man's fiancé. More details will be released after police have completed their investigation.
