Falling object kills Pennsylvania worker

We all know that no one lives forever. Having said that, it is likely that most Pittsburgh area residents do not spend a lot of time thinking about when and how they will die. In addition to there being very little that someone can do to avoid death, it is, in many ways a waste of time.

There are many ways these deaths can occur including while in the process of completing tasks related to one's occupation. Earlier this month a Pennsylvania man died after a heavy object fell on him as he worked. The work accident took place at a recycling center and involved what is being described as a concrete partition.

Authorities indicate that the object fell after a front-end loader pushed it over. Despite another worker using a forklift to remove the concrete partition from the man, his injuries were too serious and he ultimately died. He succumbed to his injuries shortly after being taken to an area hospital.

This is not the first death to occur at the location. Earlier this year another worker died at the same location. Currently that issue is being investigated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

The man who died in the most recent incident was 42-years-old. Though unclear, due to his age it is possible that he had a significant other and children. If this is the case, in addition to living with a profound loss, it is possible that they are worried about how they will make ends meet going forward. A wrongful death lawsuit could be beneficial in that regard.
