Report looks at hospital in outbreak of Hepatitis C

On August 10, 2012 the New York Times published an article on the outbreak of hepatitis C in hospitals. The article, titled "Report Looks at Hospital in Outbreak of Hepatitis," goes into detail on a former hospital technician, David Kwiatkowski, and how his drug addiction may have caused multiple patients at hospitals across the country to become infected with hepatitis C

Hepatitis C is a disease known to cause chronic liver and health problems. According to the article, Kwiatkowski may have worked in as many 18 hospitals in several different states, including New Hampshire, New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Kansas and Arizona.  Kwiatkowski was finally arrested in New Hampshire after 31 patients were confirmed to have contracted the same strain of Hepatitis C.
