Father dies in multi-vehicle accident over holiday weekend

Memorial Day weekend is notoriously a busy time when it comes to motor vehicle accidents. The family of a man who was killed in one such accident over the holiday weekend is likely reeling. The 36-year-old man was riding his motorcycle on Route 21, near Pittsburgh, when it happened.

The fatal motor vehicle accident involved two other vehicles. Thought the specifics are not currently known, a collision ensued which resulted in the man being thrown from his motorcycle. He died as a result of his injuries. The drivers of the other vehicles, a 21-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man, were also hurt in the incident. Their injuries were minor however.

The man who died had previously served in the military. He was married and in addition to his wife, left behind four children.

It is not known what or who caused the accident. If the man on the motorcycle was not at fault it is highly likely that his wife will file a wrongful death lawsuit against whoever was responsible for the fatal crash. Any financial compensation awarded in a successful case would probably be welcomed to help the family with expenses.

Clearly, there is nothing, including money, that can replace a father who is gone. While the money cannot fill the role of a lost father for his children, it may make it easier for the family to move forward. In addition, a successful wrongful death lawsuit sometimes provides the closure individuals left behind need to be able to move past the pain.
