Hermitage accident seriously injures two

Mixing dangerous intersections and negligent drivers is a recipe for disaster. Now that the days are getting shorter and leaves on the road can make conditions dangerous, it is important that drivers pay attention to detail when navigating highways and local roads. The majority of accidents take place at intersections, so it is particularly important watch all directions when approaching one. Being a defensive driver can save your life. If you have been injured in an accident at a dangerous intersection or because of the negligence of another driver, you will need an experienced car accidents attorney to represent your best interests in court.

Late Friday morning, two people were badly hurt when they were involved in a head-on crash at an intersection in Hermitage, PA. Police say the accident took place shortly before 11 a.m. at the intersection of Lamor Road and North Keel Ridge Road, about a half mile east of State Route 18 / North Hermitage Road. The intersection has a two-way stop and police believe that one of the vehicles ran one of the stop signs, causing the accident.

A person who owns a home at one corner said that the intersection is dangerous and that he has witnessed fender-benders and near-accidents since he has lived there.

First responders took both drivers to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, but at this point the extent of their injuries are still unknown. Police are continuing to investigate the accident and will make a decision about who was at fault in the near future.
